Vic Lorusso recently auctioned our house in Roseville and the price obtained was way beyond our expectation and well above the reserve. Whilst the ultimate price was influenced by strong market conditions, it was the way that Vic conducted the auction that maximised the price.  I have been involved in real estate for a long time, and I have never seen an auctioneer work a crowd so well.

 

At the start of the auction he entertained the audience which built confidence and trust and then when the auction commenced, he kept it flowing, dismissing low bids from buyers trying to slow momentum and when it got to the final stages, he balanced keeping the pressure on but still giving the buyers a chance to think.

Vic was well worth the investment, bringing a sense of charm & charisma to the crowd that helped us not only get a much better price than expected, but helped take the stressful edge off the bidding process to help potential buyers relax & better get into the fun competitive side of the auction process to get us the maximum price possible. In particular his use of jokes & commentary, gave potential buyers enough time to consider higher bids, without the usual awkward silences & resulting frustration between pauses that I have experienced with other auctioneers. Great guy, great auctioneer & would definitely recommend, especially for those harder to sell properties where you need work harder to get buyers into a competitive rhythm.
